hello!
Raised in Falls Church, VA, gray is a Korean-American nonbinary actor based in NYC. From a young age, they were drawn to the arts—singing in chorus, playing instruments (guitar, piano, violin, clarinet), drawing, and spinning fantastical tales for anyone who would listen. Though they always dreamed of performing, gray rarely saw themselves reflected in American media. It wasn’t until their parents introduced them to Kdramas that they saw the full spectrum of what was possible, even applying at one point to become a Kpop star.
While that dream took a different turn, their creative drive led them to pursue fashion design at Cornell University, including a transformative year abroad at Central Saint Martins in London. After years in fashion, the pandemic served as another turning point—rekindling a childhood mission: to help others feel seen, just as Korean media once did for them.
gray trained in the Meisner technique at the William Esper Studio, honed their vocal craft with The Fitzmaurice Voice Institute, and studied Practical Aesthetics under a founding member of Atlantic Acting School. They also explored voice acting with mentors like Tony Oliver and Crispin Freeman. gray seeks to tell stories that create space for queer, Asian-American, and other underrepresented voices to exist unapologetically.
Offstage, you’ll find them living a quarter mile at a time. They coach kids and boulder at a climbing gym, jam on their guitar/piano, stream video games, write stories and fanfiction, and occasionally craft little outfits for their dog.
